Returning to Selkirk College next year and want to make a little bit of cash while you study?
Selkirk College's student run newspaper, The Sentinel, is getting a fresh makeover for the next school year. What this means is we need tons of people to contribute articles, columns, cartoons, prose, poetry, interviews and photographs!
Our first step has been to set up a board of three editors which must approve of every article printed in The Sentinel.
Another major change we are looking forward to next year is the move to a digital format for The Sentinel. The Sentinel will have it's own website in the coming months. Bi weekly issues will be hosted there and emailed to subscribers (subscription is free of course)!
For those craving the cafeteria reading material, fear not; The Sentinel will still make monthy appearances in print in the form of a semi-colour journal.
The best articles from the bi weekly online editions as well as much more news will fill the pages of the printed journal.
TO MAKE THIS WORK WE NEED PEOPLE!
Specifically, we need columnists who are willing to commit to six articles over the year. The payment for these positions is still under evaluation.
Reporters and other contributers will follow a per article format, with no obligations. You just need to submit articles and if they get printed, you'll receive a payment.
We will also be looking for contributing photographers, so dust off that lense cap, snap some shots and make some money!
