A priority of the Selkirk College Students' Union is to address the issue of food insecurity among its membership and BC students as a whole. The union aims to address this issue in two ways.

 

First by offering its members access to a pantry full of non-perishable food items for use in emergency short-term food insecurity situations. This pantry service is available on all campuses. Members can stop by any SCSU office to access the pantry. If office is not open please go to the Welcome Centre.

Second is by fundraising and supporting community organizations that aim to address systemic long-term food security issues, such as community food banks.
